Little golden shortbread cookies, smelling of cinnamon and ginger like in Christmas movies. We bake them while dancing in the kitchen, decorate them with three sprinkles of sugar… and give them to friends as a mini seasonal gift. Simple, pretty, and incredibly comforting.

How to prepare them (easy as a Sunday morning)
- In a bowl, gently mix the soft butter with the sugar.
- Add the egg, then the flour, the spices and form a nice ball of dough. Then chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough to 5 mm, cut out small hearts, stars, Christmas trees… whatever your Parisian soul prefers.
- Place everything on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 180°C, just until they are lightly browned.
- Let them cool and have fun decorating them.
Little secrets to succeeding (and shining a little)
- Spread the dough between two sheets of baking paper: zero stress, zero sticking.
- Choose Christmas cookie cutters for a " Parisian elf workshop " effect.
- Keep an eye on the cooking: they should remain golden-blond, like a winter sunrise.
